An amazing item!!

In house test pressing ONLY for UK Atlantic records !!!

This is a series of banded radio spots made for ATCO/ATLANTIC for promotional purposes to promote the labels' new releases

The groups featured (in order) are {Side A-banded (4)}: Brian Auger and the Trinity/Dr John/Aretha Franklin/Wilson Pickett/Iron Butterfly

(Side B-5 bands}: Albert King/Arthur Conley/Sam and Dave/Clarence Carter/(Supergroups LP)-Cream-Iron Butterfly-Bee Gees-Buffalo Springfield

The Led Zeppelin {very short extracts from: You shook me/Communication breakdown/Good times bad times}

/Arthur Conley/Sam and Dave/Clarence Carter/(Supergroups LP)-Cream-Iron Butterfly-Bee Gees-Buffalo Springfield

The songs featured are only short extracts where sometimes the announcer speaks over the background music.

The Led Zeppelin slot refers to the group as 'The Led Zeppelin'

The radio spots were aired prior to some releases being issued though no date is available.

The content emanates from the USA and was probably a radio ad and was possibly sent to Atlantic UK for possible use on UK commercial radio

This item was pressed by Polydor UK on behalf of Atlantic UK for internal distribution and not intended (as far as we know) to be used other than in-house.

Anyone knows anything about this let us know-will be acknowledged

Record(s) condition:EX-     some light scuffs

Note: Catalogue # is the Matrix # which shows only on the run out (dead wax)

Comment:White label-someone has listened to 1st track on B side (Albert King) and written in biro 'Albert King  Blues' and some random writing

Date of release of this disc was impossible to pin down but probably very early 1969 though the US version may well have radio aired late 68.

The LPs featured were released in the USA late 1968 and early 1969 so the assumption is that this was pressed for the UK Atlantic office prior to the UK around February/March 1969 (UK release of LZ 1 was later release-almost 3 months after US release!) of Led Zeppelin (1).
