2 LP

Very early pressing

with variant cover sticker on front and on the back

very few turn up with the back sticker

Gatefold cover

minor wear

with original paper inner sleeves for this issue (generic plain white with 'UK PATENT NO. 1,125,555.' on one side) (EX+)

Spine lettering good and clear (EX+)

Matrix #'s: (reading clockwise from the cat #-some are upside down)

Disc 1: A: VD 2510 A4  C  tone  &  B: V (B crossed out) D  2510 B 3  C  JIM (probably-the 'M' is not joined at the first downstroke and could be read as JIILY

Disc 2: C: V (B crossed out) D 2510 C 3  tone  B  &   D: V (B crossed out) D 2510 D 3   tone  C

There are myriad different matrices for the early pressings as there would have been multiple presses getting the product ready for the high demand expected on day one of this much hyped but not particularly memorable 2LP.

NOTE: there would have been several master discs cut by different cutters and clearly the cutter for the above disc may have had too much 'lunch' before resuming work and read the VD as VB !

with track listing insert which gives the correct order of tracks, whereas the cover doesn't, is creased along bottom edge where it has travelled around the spine when the gatefold was open and then by closing the gatefold the product gets creased (could be a poster etc)

This is a very common problem so make sure that you put any inserts back into the sleeve after closing the gatefold OR make sure that if the insert(s) are still within the cover that nothing has slid around the inside spine BEFORE you close the gatefold

Be warned!

The insert is excellent otherwise(VG)

Discs have had a fair but of play but retain their shine and have various very light scuffs but are in decent shape and play very well
