Radio show only-broadcast 4.4.1976
Ian Paice and David Coverdale guests of the show to promote 'Come taste the band' with 4 songs featured
Alison Steele chats to DC and IP asking DC about 'Machine gun' which is corrected to 'Head' and he says he hadn't joined the band at that point. But of course Steele is a massive fan so of course really did know that-whoops!
He points out he joined for 'Burn'
She rambles on about the 'freshest' LP - is hard rock on its death bed (punk was just getting going) - the market was saturated with rock bands-imitators etc and music fans either were fanatically devoted to DP or hated them (Ian Paice-who then ranks those who 'hate' them as Eagles or Crosby, Stills and Nash fans !)
Interspersed with all this are ads for the Army Reserve
Pressing quality of these discs isn't brilliant and there is occasional background noise
