Rare original UK film/cinema poster from 1954
Folded
Ex display and has some odd pieces missing on the border
Also 3" tear on left side and 1.5" tear on right side
Various pin-holes and other small holes in the border
Odd small marks/light stains
Essentially lovely main pic-a very very tiny piece of the blue background top right corner is missing where the corner piece has been torn off when removing from the wall. See pic.
This colour poster would look spectacular if framded so the the border was hidden behind the frame (including the tint tiny top blue corner)
NOTE: re folds
n the 1950s, trade printers like Stafford and Co. didn't ship posters to cinemas in large cardboard tubes. Standard operational practice for movie distribution houses was to crisply machine-fold Double Crowns down to a flat, compact rectangle so they could slide neatly into heavy brown paper shipping envelopes alongside the cinema's weekly marketing press packets.
