Super scarce-especially in this condition
1st volume in a reissue series issued 3 years after Leadbelly's death incorporating the 'best' of Leadbellys 78 rpm recordings from the 30s and 40s
Nice liner notes giving a brief note about the song and the lyrics also
Cover is thick board with front cover slick wrapping round and back slick pasted over this
Often these american thick board covers split as they are only held by the thickness of the front cover slick paper
However this copy is in very good condition having only a 6.5 cm (approx) split from the open edge on the bottom and there is 1.5 cm wear on the other end up to the corner
The spine and top edge are just about perfect
The front cover is slightly glossy and superb condition
The back is exceptionally clean for this age of LP (67 years !) showing only a little wear at the bottom which exposes part of the wrap over front cover pattern
There is also slight wear further along
Disc in great condition with a few light scuffs
