Exceptionally rare 1st issue unblemished copy
Very scarce Leaping Bruce Springsteen figure Shape Picture Disc
+ folded thin card plinth
Variant 1st issue: 1st issue {October 1984} with incorrect speed [45 rpm] listed-blocked out-on Bruce's leg with correct (33rpm) speed.
This was not issued with a cover sticker though some people use the sticker from the 2nd issue and pretend that it came with a sticker. Not so.
Mispress: incorrect speed shown on back of leg
Exceptionally rare 1st issue unblemished copy without the 'tea staining' that many copies suffer from (in varying degrees)-especially the later 2nd pressing.
This release flopped and was re-released some months (March 85) later in an almost identical issue except that the correct speed (33rpm) only appears on the leg and early copies had a cover sticker.
See other listings for variations.
Formats: 5 inch Shape Picture Disc Sound quality on 5" discs is not up to standard of 7" discs-the B side of this disc is particularly sub-standard so we do not advise buying it for its' Hi-Fi qualities-the vinyl is thin particularly on the B side which actually picks up the picture underneath (legs).
5" discs were made to make the overall figure picture discs (and others) a neater product but were eventually dropped because of the sound quality problems.
Strictly a fabulous display item though Cover me plays reasonably well in terms of Hi Fi quality.
These discs are unplayed except to test ability to start and finish.
